The 'Make It In May' Skirt Sew-Along

It's time for a Make It In May Skirt Sew-Along crafty peeps!

Here are the rules (should you choose to accept them):

  1. Sign up on the dotted line below
  2. Choose your favourite skirt pattern
  3. Pick a fantabulous fabric
  4. Sew Sew Sew
  5. Blog it and show it off
I'm making myself a winter version of the You Sew Girl A-Line Skirt using some gorgeous dark grey wool suiting that I picked up at the last Spotty sale. I'm hoping that I'll also have time to make at least one of the Lisette Skirts too (fingers crossed)!

I've been using some of my newly learned photoshop skills on the button - feel free to add it to your blog and link it to this post!

You can just right click and save the button above (it's 200px wide) or copy and paste the html code below

I'm already to go... I was planning to make some skirts in April but time just got away from me. Bring it on in May I say.

Was just looking at in my wardrobe today and tut-tutting about how raggedy my winter skirts are all looking. This is just the kick start I need.

My sewing mojo is somewhere deep in my unused fabric pile so I will watch on intently for inspiration!

I have had Nikki's A line skirt cut out for months so this is a good kick up the butt to get it sewn up.

Just worked out that I'm away for half of May (visiting family in the UK) and no time to fit a skirt in before I go. Can I make play along a bit late ... in June?!

Whoops - I signed up using the wrong blog! Ignore The Red Wren - I'll be blogging this one at Sew, Renae!

How fun! I'm afraid I only just discovered the sew along. But I DID sew 3 Barcelona Skirts in MAY before we went on our holiday. What a fun coincidence.
